The story of the Viking people through an interactive exhibition simulating life in a Viking village.
Viking was the name given to the seafarers from Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. During the Viking age many Vikings traveled to other countries, such as Britain and Ireland. They either settled in these new lands as farmers and craftsmen, or went to fight and look for treasures. What makes them so mysterious is their unique ways and culture as well as their ambition in navigating the world’s oceans in search for land and treasures.
This exhibition gathers several activities that define the viking way of life while answering some basic questions: what was life in the village 1000 years ago like? how did they sail their ships? how did they paint their viking shields? how did they counterattack when the village was under siege? how did they learn their alphabet? and many more.
This exhibition is suitable for closed venues and targets families with children aged 6-12.
